Our Museum has Something for Everyone

The Museum hosts many of John Lopez's sculptures, from bronzes
to multi media art. At any time, John will drop off new pieces for us to
display. So far, John has created eight bronze sculptures of former Presidents
of the United States for the City of Presidents project in Rapid City, SD, on
display on the streets downtown. Come see what you can find entangled within the
wonderful scrap sculptures.
Children of all ages will be happy to note that these pieces can be touched. |
The Museum has many displays of life on the ranch, old time
entertainments, Native American history, the Bismarck-Deadwood Trail and the
history of the area. Cowboys and families from all over have donated
artifacts and pictures to display here. |
Creation Science has it's roots in the literal
interpretation of the Bible. Genesis tells of a worldwide
catastrophe called Noah's Flood. To this day, many people try to explain
evolution as a science and creation as a religion. However, through
recent advances in science, especially archaeology and catastrophic
geology, the Bible is regaining its authority as history, even among
non-believers. Displayed here is a cross section of a model of the Ark
as it may have been built.

The area is a fertile source of dinosaurs and fossils: Anemones,
Edmontosaurus, Pachycephlasaurus, Triceratops, Tyrannasaurus Rex, and
more. Many are displayed here in one place, our Museum. Visitors are
welcome to touch and feel real dinosaur bones.

The Museum has many activities for everyone to enjoy.
There are Scavenger Hunts which kids can see if they can find such
objects as an ammonite, horse tooth puller, school bell or moccasins
displayed within the Museum's displays. The Museum also hosts events
such as Taco Suppers, traveling exhibits from larger museums, programs
from the South Dakota Humanities Council, book contests in which you
must find the oldest cookbook, school history book, etc.
